November 15Check out at midday and head to Phuket airport. Stop at a temple on the way to shoot...I'm the only "Farang" there. It has a nice vibe, no bar girls, no Engish, Irish, Scots - or bald people with tattoos...Fly to Singapore at 2.55pm...Lots of thunder clouds - shoot Phang Nga, Krabi, Phi Phi out the window, and a huge rain cloud over Langkawi. |

November 11Up at dawn...Well, a lay in, 6.30 am...I feel awful. But we go to shoot the fish market. I imagine it to be like the one in Tokyo which is amazing. This one is a load of old shacks on the beach, with not many fish or fishermen as it turns out it is a Muslim holiday. Decide to go back to bed - shoot some graffiti on a wall heading back to the Ritz Carlton. Sleep for a few more hours, then head to the pool. |

November 10See Mount Batur as we drive back, miles away in the distance - it's a 4 hour drive away. Get back just as the sun is coming through the clouds, it is very hot because the rainy season is coming. Nothing else for it - head for the pool... |

November 5It's 10.58pm yesterday or 4.58am today as we fly over Istanbul. Wake up at 1pm Bali time over the South China Sea. Arrive 3.25 into Singapore and it's pouring....This is not a good omen. 4.40 fly on to Bali. Shoot the islands off the coast of Singapore. It has a very exotic look to it. Spend the rest of the flight picking my nose - one of the great joys of flying - without being told off.... |
