September 23rd
Go to Dubai for a few days. It's 40c when
I get there which is fine by me. Do nothing... well
try out a new Nikon lens
that I've hired which I soon realise I don't like.
I've
found a new home from home called "The Cyclone
Club". I recommend it to anyone... |

This time last year I was on a very empty plane from
New York to L.A.
Got the new cover of Burrn (Japanese
magazine) with a shot of mine of Steven Tyler. Thought
I'd share it
with you. |
September 6th
Limpbizkit. Finsbury Park.
Go to the press conference at Metropolitan Hotel at
3pm, I'm late. Walk in, Fred is not in a good mood as
he's being provoked by two journalists. I start
shooting from the sides, not realising there's been a
ban on taking stills (oh well, I'm shooting it for the
band). Drive to Finsbury Park at 5pm. Surprisingly very
laid back backstage. Get good pictures of Fred signing
for young fans.

Fred tells me to shoot wherever I like which is
nice. Show is good to shoot apart from the morons
in the crowd who keep throwing bottles, get hit
twice (really fucking funny when you are trying to
work).
Get lost on the way home, end up in Dalston...I've
lived in London all my life but still don't know
North London... |
September 5th
Interview with Rolling Stone Mexico. They want
to talk to me about my career. The main problem is their
English (not very good)
and my Spanish (even worse). A couple of the questions "why
have you got no style"... me "how dare you"...
He apologises and means to say "where did you get your
style"... Best question "how many women have you
slept with on tour"...
I'm looking forward to seeing
how this interview comes out.
September 4th
Very very nice hot day. Fly up to Manchester to shoot
Limpbizkit at the Manchester Carling Apollo. Shoot
for 30 minutes, group shots first. |

The band are as into this as watching paint dry on
a wall. Shoot Fred Durst with new guitar player which
is much better, Fred comes to life and works for the
camera (he's actually very nice). Finish at 6:45, back
to the airport, home at 9:45..... I'm supposed to shoot
Finsbury Park this weekend, we shall see..... |
September 3rd
Iron Maiden launch party, Battersea Wharf for new
album "Dance Of Death (or something like that)".
Maiden have great parties. It's in a warehouse overlooking
the Thames. It's done out like a hammer movie/ Dracula's
living room, is the best way I can describe it. Spent
most of the evening talking to Steve Harris about his
stalker, Sawako Iizuka (Japanese older woman in love
with Mr Steve Harris). Being the good friend I
am, I arranged for her to shoot the L.A shows the week
before (and got her backstage) so she could stalk the
man of her dreams. I took great pleasure in telling
him this... |

September 1st
Went with Happy Jack to visit Phil Lemon in hospital....He
looks okay considering the state he's in....lost a lot
of weight and hooked up to lots of machines. Still got
both legs though....
